“Saving one dog will not change the world, but surely for that one dog, the world will change forever.”  This is Portia.  She was literally plucked from death row moments before it was her turn to die.  And this dog knows she was saved.  She is a min pin mix, about 1.5 years old and 18 pounds.  And she is wonderful.  

Portia must have been someone's dog at some point.  She is well behaved but still lots of fun.  She is leash trained and crate trained.  She appears to be housetrained but please expect some adjustment time.  She has been through a lot - a stray, sitting in a shelter, going into foster homes and traveling to NY!  Portia is smart and eager to please.  She loves attention and is so grateful to be in a home and loved.  I know she cannot wait to make someone else happy!  She is friendly and loves people.  Loves other dogs and toys.  Kids should be no issue.  She does like to chase the cats outside but it is all in fun with her.  Portia has a fenced yard in her foster home but likes walks and also goes potty on a leash.  She has long and leggy so she will be able to keep up with someone who wants a companion to go exploring. 

Portia is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  Her adoption fee is $350 - please apply on our website if you would like to give pretty Portia a home forever!
