This handsome fellow is Toby - a spaniel mix (we think!) Toby is just about 2 years old.  

Toby is an energetic dog - he could play ball all day long if you are willing!  He is smart and eager to learn.  Toby does well with other dogs.  He is not aggressive with cats but shows interest in chasing them when they run - if they don't run, he is fascinated with watching them.  He is good in a crate and loves to go for walks.  Toby definitely feeds off his owners temperament  - he will be the alpha if allowed.  He needs a dog savvy owner that can read his body language and understand he just wants guidance and love.  Toby stiffens when you pick him up and needs someone to go slow and give him time to adjust.  He definitely is afraid if he hears loud voices  or noises.  He will scurry for cover if he feels 'threatened' and needs to be able to come out on his own terms.  His foster mom has worked hard to get him to trust again - someone was not nice to him.  Once he knows you, he is comfortable with the love. Toby will do best with older kids (teens).  Toby is active and would love someone to keep up with.  He is a good little watch dog too and loves to be outside! 

Toby is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  His adoption fee is $350 - please apply online if you are interested!
