Jade - so pretty and eloquent!  She is a medium size dog, about 35 lbs. A terrier mix of some kind.  Jade came up from Texas with a litter of puppies who have since been adopted.  Unfortunately Jade was heartworm positive and has been undergoing treatment since coming to NY. 

Jade is an amazing dog!  She has so much love to give and boy does she want to play.  Our biggest hope for Jade is to find a family with kids.  She loves kids and will be the absolute perfect family dog!  She is housebroken and crate trained and loves to go for walks.  She was fostered in Texas by a family with kids whom she slept with at night and we think she misses that.  She is very active and playful and could also make a great companion for a runner or hiker (after she heals from her treatment of course!).  She is also content to lay in your lap and watch TV as truly her only wish is to be a companion to you.  She is good with other dogs her size or smaller but does have some food aggression as she was left alone in Texas to fend for herself and her babies.  This has improved since her pups have been adopted but she is crated for meals and does just fine with that. This is only with other dogs - not towards people whatsoever!    Treats she can take as a group without any issues.  Jade has been a pleasure to foster both in Texas and NY and we can't wait for her to find a wonderful loving home.  If that is you- please don't hesitate to apply.
