Oh Chapis - sometimes known as Chap Stick lol!  What a character you are!  He is a Chihuahua mix.  He is just over 2 years old and about 8ish pounds.  He has long legs  - tall and skinny lol!  Chapis was a stray dog in Houston TX - he was able to find his way to some wonderful people that eventually got him to NY!

Chapis is an amazing dog.  He is soooo loving to his people - very very loyal and affectionate!  He is a complete snuggler at night and must be touching you under the covers.  Chapis is leash trained - he does not like the crate though.  He does well with the family dogs in his foster home so he is left gated.  He is fine with cats too!  Kids are ok as long as they are respectful (10+).  He is working on his house training so he wears a belly band - it is often dry.  Chapis is getting used to this Northern cold we are having and he is struggling with going outside, like most Chihuahuas do! But he does go out and he does know what he is supposed to do out there!  He is playful and likes toys!  He loves a good chewie too!  Chapis is a good fit for a home with other small dogs or would love to be the center of somebody's world!  He is a foster favorite for sure and we are happy to help him find his forever family!

Chapis is now neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated, heartworm neg.  His adoption fee is $275 - please fill out an application on our website if you want a little bit of Texas with a big heart to be yours!
