Barry is quite the dashing gent!  He is about 5 years old, 14 pounds - a beautiful black & tan  dachshund.  Barry's owner could no longer care for him so he was surrendered to a local shelter.  They asked us for help and of course we had to say yes!  No one can resist those doxie eyes!

Barry is a great guy.   He is leash trained and crate trained.  He is doing well on housetraining too but he is recently neutered so there will be typical accidents!  He likes to go for walks and does really well in the car!  Barry is fine with kids as long as they are respectful to him. 10+ is ideal if they are living in the same house.  He is fine with other dogs too.  Typical doxie with cats but nothing out of control.  Barry likes to be outside when it's nice so a fenced yard would be ideal but not a deal breaker as long as he has plenty of walks and outside time.  He likes to sit in your lap but on his terms!  He isn't always a fan of being picked up but will jump up into your lap whenever he can.  Barry is a typical dachshund.  If you never had one, please research the breed!  If you have owned one, he fits the dachshund bill to a T! he is a strong willed little guy!

Barry is now neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm neg, flea/worm treated.  His adoption fee is $225 so please apply online if you are interested in making Barry your new pet!
